The Catalyst: SCP Event Horizon (2044)
On December 15, 2044, the SCP Foundation conducted Operation Horizon Veil, an experimental attempt to neutralise multiple Keter-class SCPs simultaneously. The operation hinged on the activation of SCP-████, a device capable of generating interdimensional rifts to “offload” anomalies into alternate realities. However, unforeseen resonance cascades tore through the dimensional fabric, leading to Event Horizon—an apocalyptic convergence of realities.
The Earth’s surface water was siphoned into these rifts, leaving behind a parched, arid world. Simultaneously, dragons—beings from mythological dimensions—were unleashed alongside SCP anomalies, plunging the world into chaos.

The New World
Earth is now a fractured wasteland, split into realms ruled by dragons, SCP anomalies, and the remnants of humanity. The absence of water has created a desperate struggle for survival, while interdimensional energy has permanently altered the ecosystem.

Geography
- The Scorched Expanse:
- The former ocean beds, now vast deserts of salt and cracked earth, are littered with the remnants of ships and aquatic SCPs, some of which have adapted to the desolate conditions.
- The Rift Peaks:
- Towering mountains crowned by dimensional portals. Dragons roost here, claiming dominance over the skies and hoarding treasures from other dimensions.
- The Crimson Pits:
- Lakes of boiling, corrosive liquid formed from SCP-related spills. These areas are both a danger and a resource for those daring enough to mine their strange materials.
- The Zone of Anomalies:
- Regions where reality itself is unstable, warped by SCP entities. Gravity shifts, time loops, and spatial anomalies are standard.
- The Bone Wastes:
- Fields of dragon skeletons and collapsed SCP megafauna. Scavengers risk their lives to harvest dragon bones prized for their strength and mystical properties.
- The Black Arches:
- Massive, obsidian-like constructs formed during the Event Horizon. Believed to be remnants of the SCP device, they emit a haunting hum and are worshipped or feared.
Factions
- The Draconis Sovereignty:
- A coalition of intelligent dragons who have claimed dominion over Earth. They rule with a mix of fear and wisdom, demanding tributes from human survivors.
- Leader: Auryndral the Eternal Flame, a massive golden dragon able to manipulate interdimensional portals.
- Goals: Maintain their rule and prevent further SCP incursions threatening their newfound kingdom.
- Base: The Rift Peaks.

- The Remnant Collective:
- Survivors of the SCP Foundation and other human factions are now united to combat SCP threats and rebuild civilisation. They employ salvaged SCP technology to protect their people.
- Leader: Director Elara Vaughn, a former SCP operative turned guerrilla leader.
- Goals: Contain SCP anomalies, reclaim Earth from dragons, and restore water to the planet.
- Base: Site-93, a fortified SCP bunker repurposed as a human city.

- The Ashbound Cult:
- Fanatics who worship dragons and SCP anomalies as divine entities believe the Event Horizon was a sacred revelation.
- Leader: Prophet Kalix, a human fused with SCP-█████, granting him visions of the multiverse.
- Goals: Spread their faith, gain favour with dragons, and eliminate “blasphemers” who resist.
- Base: The Black Arches.

- The Iron Talons:
- A rogue faction of humans who enslave or hunt dragons for their scales, bones, and powers. They also exploit SCP anomalies for weapons.
- Leader: Marshal Derrick Steele, a brutal ex-mercenary driven by revenge after losing his family to a dragon raid.
- Goals: Dominate Earth by harnessing the powers of dragons and SCP artifacts.
- Base: The Bone Wastes.

- The Riftborn Syndicate:
- A shadowy organisation composed of humans, SCP hybrids, and rogue dragons who profit from trading water, SCP relics, and dimensional knowledge.
- Leader: Nyxara, a black dragon that can shapeshift into human form.
- Goals: Exploit the chaos for wealth and power.
- Base: Mobile caravans and hidden outposts.

Dragon Types
- Elemental Dragons:
- Each dragon wields an elemental affinity, such as fire, ice, or lightning. These powers are amplified by SCP energy, making them formidable rulers of the wasteland.
- Void Dragons:
- Spawned directly from the dimensional rifts, these dragons are alien and unpredictable, with powers that defy known physics.
- Corrupted Dragons:
- Dragons fused with SCP anomalies, possessing warped forms and powers. They are often mad and uncontrollable.
- Primordial Dragons:
- Ancient beings awakened during the Event Horizon. They possess deep knowledge of Earth’s history and the multiverse.
